Bella Cat
So Evan and I have been a little apprehensive about Bella and the baby. Apparently, she does like baby smell since she hopped right into our donated car seat!
Prenatal yoga continues… Hopefully we will get our act together and go to BabiesRUs this week. And we got the unexpected news that we will be buying a crib, since the one at my parents house is no good. What did I expect, it’s 30ish years old! Hopefully the one we buy will have as many happy babies to sleep in it!

Two of Us
A couple pics from last night at Nate’s.
And my new favorite song.
A Beatles song, covered by Guster.
(i’ll send you the mp3 if you want)
——————
Two of us riding nowhere spending someone’s hard earned pay
You and me Sunday driving
Not arriving
on our way back home
We’re on our way
back home
We’re on our way home
We’re comin’ home
Two of us sending postcards
writing letters
on my wall
You and me burning matches
lifting latches
on our way back home
We’re on our way home
We’re going home
You and I have memories longer than that road that stretches out ahead
Two of us wearing raincoats standing solo in the sun
You and me chasing paper
getting nowhere
on our way back home
We’re on our way back home
We’re on our way home
We’re going home

Toys for Kids
After reading Nate’s blog this afternoon, I thought about fun toys.
I was thinking about all the toys that we’ll be accumulating (educational and not) in the next few years and I came across a picture that reminded me of Power Wheels.
Remember those things?
My brother Ian had one when he was proportionally the size of the chipmunk above. Although they are more along the lines of a fun toy for boys, and Hailey probably wouldn’t be interested in one, I thought I’d take the opportunity for people to mention some toys (educational or not) that they remember or had when they were kids.

Classes….
So we signed up today for our “prepared childbirth class”. The choices were one all day class on a Saturday or a 4 week session with 3 hours a night. My big question is: how can you fit the same amount of info into one day that it takes 4 weeks to cover? So I promptly signed us up for the 4 week session. The only problem? The session I wanted is full and we’re on the wait list. We’re officially signed up for a later one. Okay, baby, you’re not allowed to come before Christmas because we won’t be prepared to have you!
Work has been busy, like crazy busy… Not good for us pregnant ladies!
Everyone needs to bug Evan so we can get some belly pics up on the website!

Hailey, Your Parents are Guster Dorks
Well, finally got the copy of Hailey’s first concert! How? I’m resourceful, almost as resourceful as Andrea who scored us the opportunity to meet the guys after this show. And archive.org, is a neat resource.
Rock out, Hailey! Listen or download the show here.

Ouch! And so the kicking begins! It feels weird. I’ve been trying to describe it to people and everyone is A) grossed out or B) nods, but look like they don’t get it.
Sometimes it feels like little wings beating up against the inside of my belly. Sometimes it’s one solid thump. Either way, it’s exciting!
Planning continues- the wedding is only two weeks away!

For the Record Just for the record, Evan just left for his bachelor party: against his will! I know he will have fun, but he really didn’t want to get up and go this morning.
Hailey and I are having a fun weekend cleaning and getting ready to move furniture around for her arrival!

Update
Baby is getting big! I have a very small bump, but it’s getting bigger every day…. hopefully we don’t get too big before the wedding! Hailey is not going to let us feel her move any time soon. Something to do with the anatomy inside. And she’s upside down, so when she kicks, she’s kicking my insides, not my abdominal wall. We just need to give her some good music and maybe she will dance for us!
Work is busy, and I think that’s giving her a terrible sleep schedule. Evan, get ready for some late nights!
