So Hailey had a great Halloween! She got a total of 5 candies, I think. But she had fun looking at the lights and costumes with her friends Jack and Lupe.
Then on the news today, they reported people here in Mass who had their 4th grader find a piece of metal in her candy bar while at school. Big question for me? Why didn’t you check your kid’s candy right after she brought it home?!?!
Then they reported that two preschooler’s parents found metal in their candy after getting a call from the school district. Really? You didn’t check your PRESCHOOLERS candy?!
I guess I just don’t get it. Most parents I know these days are hyper-vigilant, “helicopter parents“. Now, believe me, I’m not advocating for that either, but it just seems negligent not to at least look through your kid’s candy.
If not only to pick out which ones you like best!
